PST SILAS ANYIO: THE MUSIC MINISTER’S PLACE (Session 1)

SESSION 1: *THE MUSIC MINISTER’S PLACE* – Pst Silas Anyio

_Numbers 18:1-6; 1 Peter 2:9, 1 Tim 4:12; Hebrews 5:3-4; Leviticus 10:1-2, 1 Kings 19:19-21_

1. The Minister’s Place is to take charge of the tabernacle and God will not dwell in a tabernacle that is unkept.
a. First, the spiritual tabernacle (his life),
b. Second, the physical tabernacle (the gathering of the brethren) Hebrews 10:25.

2. Your appearance before to congregation should lead to a change in the atmosphere. If this does not happen, it means you’re not taking charge; and it is either you take charge or the enemy does.

3. Take charge! Be an example to believers both out there and in here!

4. Things easily happen when we take charge as music ministers. Have you wondered why preachers usually want music in the atmosphere when they want to minister to personal issues during the latter part of their sessions? The music in the atmosphere creates room for the manifestations.

5. As music ministers, you can take charge from where you are standing and there will be manifestations. Manifestations of the supernatural flow easily through music.

6. The ministry of music is one of the highest callings that man can get; and not everyone is called it. This honour given to us. Why have we so left this place? This honour is not given to everyone. Not just any person should be in such groups.

7. This honour begins with taking charges of our lives first, or ministering to ourselves first; and then to God’s people. Ministering first to yourself is paramount. If you don’t have a personal worship life, you cannot lead people to worship. You can’t take charge like that.

8. There are two classes of musical ministrations: one to the head, the other to the heart. Ministration that goes to the head comes so easily without any spiritual effect; Ministrations that go to the heart command a response from the people’s spirits. They carry life.

9. Hence, when you stand up to minister, the spirit realm is aware of your stance and whether you can take charge or not; whether there’ll be rhema in your song-ministration or spiritually empty sounds.

10. Therefore, take charge; because an honour has been given to you and your call is of God. When stand to minister and these things are not in place, you’ll end up offering a strange fire. Offering stranger fire comes with consequences, irrespective of who you are. Despite that they were Aaron’s children, they were still consumed.

11. Never be too familiar with the ministry process that you just wake up from nowhere to offer anything before God like those sons of Aaron. May our attitudes not cause God to set us aside and raise others in our place. Never be too familiar with the process, the team, the leadership, the songs and even the congregation.

12. This honour is to serve. Irrespective of the cadre of people we have been called to serve or those we’ve been called to serve with. So, drop your title and serve. Take charge.

Num 18:1-9: And the Lord said unto Aaron, Thou and thy sons and thy father’s house with thee shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: and thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood. And thy brethren also of the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring thou with thee, that they may be joined unto thee, and minister unto thee: but thou and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of witness. And they shall keep thy charge, and the charge of all the tabernacle:… … and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation, for all the service of the tabernacle: … And ye shall keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. NIV

1 Tim 4:12; Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

Heb 5:3-4 This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people. No one takes this honor upon himself; he must be called by God, just as Aaron was. NIV

Lev 10:1-2 Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command. 2 So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord. NIV

1 Kings 19:19-21 So Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen, and he himself was driving the twelfth pair.
